Civic Inclusive Dialogue

In partnership with 24 local associations across various regions, the Social Accountability Association (SAA) successfully created a conducive environment and common ground for dialogue between citizens and officials. This initiative provided a platform for Tunisians to apply and practice democratic tools, with a particular emphasis on accountability.

Throughout these dialogue sessions, a remarkable total of 1,754,000 people participated, engaging in discussions centered around three key themes. The SAA aimed to understand the unique characteristics of problems and potential solutions specific to each region by conducting 144 dialogue sessions in 48 municipalities and 24 regions.

These sessions focused on three main axes: public policies, quality of life, and economic aspects. By addressing these critical areas, the SAA facilitated meaningful conversations that highlighted the diverse needs and challenges faced by different communities.

The culmination of this extensive effort was a comprehensive report detailing the outcomes of the dialogue sessions. This report was presented during a closing ceremony, attended by various stakeholders involved in the project. The ceremony served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of the initiative and to discuss the insights gained from the dialogues.

Through this collaborative approach, the Social Accountability Association not only fostered a culture of open dialogue and accountability but also empowered citizens to actively participate in the democratic process, ultimately contributing to the betterment of society.
